Data Ventures is the commercial arm of Stats NZ. We pull together datasets from the major mobile phone providers in New Zealand.

Monthly Unique Population allows you to download data for an estimate of the total number of unique people in a Regional Tourism Operators (RTO’s) boundary for a month.

In conjunction with the mobile phone providers, Stats NZ expertise, expert population methodologists and Data Ventures we have generated a dataset that estimates population in an RTO, segmented by local population, domestic population and International visitors.
