Row counter
A row counter, showing how many rows of data will be downloaded to your computer. This is important for 2 reasons.
The higher the number of rows the slower it may be to generate the download file. For example: 3 months of data for Auckland Region takes 20 seconds to generate a file of 44MB with 1,202,005 rows of data.
Some common software packages have limits to the number of rows they can import. Microsoft Excel has a limit of 1,048,576 rows.
Once logged in to Population Density a message box will appear showing that no rows have been selected.

Once a valid date and time are selected and at least one council is selected a message in a green box will appear displaying the number of rows the data contains.

If the number of rows selected is over 95% of your limit, a yellow warning box is displayed.

If the number of rows selected is over your limit, a red warning box is displayed and download is disabled. Deselect some councils or reduce your date/time range to clear the warning.

There may be a delay of up to 20 seconds updating the number of rows if there are a large number of rows selected.
