Selecting territorial authorities from the drop down list

There are many more TA’s in New Zealand and these have been grouped into the respective Regional Councils for ease of navigation.

Click in Area A on the screen to OPEN and CLOSE the dropdown list.

Highlight the regional council of interest with the mouse and click on the > (left end of Area B) to open the list of TA’s for that region.

Click in Area B to select ALL TA’s within the selected region. All TA’s within a region can not be deselected by clicking in Area B. They can be deselected by clicking in Area C, deselecting them from the map, or clicking on the ‘x’ in the list of currently selected councils.

Highlight the council of interest with the mouse and click in Area C to select or deselect the council. When a council is selected it is added to the list of currently selected councils and selected on the map. The map is not highlighted when a council is hovered over in the drop down list.
